Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mitmitke (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit mitmitke.com, join the interest list, create an account, or use the product. It should be read with the Terms of Service.

Who we are

Mitmitke is operated at mitmitke.com. Privacy questions: mitmitkeapp@gmail.com.

Information we collect

• Interest list. If you ask to be notified, we store the email address you submit and when you submitted it.
• Account. Email address and a hashed password. We issue a session token stored in an HTTP-only cookie so you stay signed in.
• Workspace and projects. Brand name, website, tagline, logo, template copy, colors, photos, and other assets you add so we can preview and render videos.
• Connected channels. When you connect Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts, TikTok, Mastodon, or X, we receive tokens and profile or page identifiers needed to publish. You may also store platform app credentials in workspace settings so OAuth can run for that workspace.
• Publishing. Captions, scheduled times, render files, and delivery status for posts you create in Mitmitke.
• Technical logs. Standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, and request path, used to operate and secure the Service.

How we use it

We use this information to:

• email you when accounts open, if you joined the interest list
• authenticate you and keep workspaces separate
• generate previews and MP4 renders from your projects
• publish or schedule posts to channels you connect
• maintain, debug, and protect the Service

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

The signed-in product sets a first-party session cookie (default name mitmitke_session). It is HTTP-only, uses SameSite=Lax, and lasts up to 30 days. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies on the public site.

Sharing

We share information only as needed to run the Service:

• Social platforms you connect, so they can accept a post or complete OAuth. Their privacy policies apply to data they receive.
• Infrastructure providers that host the app, API, database, and media, under contracts that limit use to providing those services.
• Legal requests if we are required to disclose information by law or to protect the Service or users.

Retention

Interest-list emails are kept until you ask us to remove them or we close the list. Account, workspace, project, media, and channel data are kept while the account is active. We delete or de-identify data when it is no longer needed for the Service, unless a longer period is required by law.

Your choices

You can disconnect a social channel in the product. You can ask us to correct or delete your interest-list email or account by writing to mitmitkeapp@gmail.com. If you are in the EEA, UK, or a similar jurisdiction, you may also have rights to access, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

International processing

We may process information on servers outside your country. If we transfer personal information from the EEA or UK, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be posted on this page.
